Money from NSFAS go to your school for fees. Other money go to you for food and books. You get transport money too if you travel far.
If you do not get NSFAS you can appeal. You must say why and send new papers. NSFAS look again and maybe say yes.
What happen if I change my course after getting NSFAS?
If you change your course NSFAS must know. You tell them on your myNSFAS account. If your new course still need NSFAS help then you can keep getting money. But if you change to a course that NSFAS does not pay for then you lose the help.
